A Case Report of Overlap Syndrome between Autoimmune Hepatitis and Primary Biliary Cirrhosis

Abstract

|
Objectives : This case report presents overlap syndrome between autoimmune hepatitis(AIH) and primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC).
Methods : The patient was treated with herbal medicine, Gamisoyo-san-gaimibang and Hyeongbangjiwhang-tang-gamibang. And effects of treatments were measured with blood-test and numberic rating scale(NRS).
Results : After treated with Gamisoyo-san-gaimibang and Hyeongbangjiwhang-tang-gamibang, the clinical symtoms were improved and gamma-glutamyl transferase(CGT) decreased significally.
Conclusions : this report, we present one case of AIH-PBC overlap syndrome. According to this report, Gamisoyo-san-gaimibang and Hyeongbangjiwhang-tang-gamibang could be effective for AIH-PBC overlap Syndrome.
